Retail Operations General Manager
 
Purpose: 
 
Responsible for providing direction and management for the profitable and efficient day-to-day operations of the company. Recognizes and solves problems in order to create an environment and culture that results in a family of “A player” associates that build relationships and award-winning experiences for our customers. Ensures the business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its policies and procedures and coaching its people.
 
Position Manager: CEO 
Job Type: Full time, 40+ hours per week

Responsibilities:
The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate manages processes and people to implement the most efficient ways to run and grow the business.
  • Collaborate with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
  • Monitor “best-in-class” business practices to recommend new and innovative ways to improve products and performance
  • Participate in marketing development plans and initiatives
  • Supervise and support store management and provide constructive feedback
  • Ensure all team members know their job responsibilities, are given the tools to perform them, and have realistic metrics of performance
  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
  • Coordinate procurement processes and product flow to plan for resource allocation
  • Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction and experience
  • Oversee annual performance assessments, including reviews of direct reports
  • Create a standard for consistent customer experience across all channels
  • Implement merchandising guidelines to maintain a cohesive retail experience across all locations and divisions
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of successful business unite management with P&L responsibilities
  • Self-motivated, being able to manage multiple projects
  • Decision-minded, capable of providing senior management with clear paths and results
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Skilled in time-management, multi-tasking and balancing efficiency and flexibility
  • Enjoys interacting with people in a professional and courteous manner
  • Successful history of retail position(s) which require the art of people management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all channels of retail organizations (including brick and mortar, eCommerce, and Social media)
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Knowledge of MS Office and various business software (e.g. POS, CRM)
