Director of E-Commerce - Consumer Products

Purpose
The Director of eCommerce is responsible for prominently positioning Idahoan online to maximize presence and sales. The Director will be responsible for effectively collaborating with cross-functional partners to manage and lead all aspects of the eCommerce business including: business planning, new item development, content strategy and development, logistics, promotional campaigns and other online marketing, web analytics and web technologies. The candidate must have the ability to navigate ambiguity, exercise strong management skills to drive expansive distribution and inventiveness to think BIG to achieve sales growth and meet/exceed the company's financial goals. Candidate must have a working knowledge of AI and successfully integrate that working knowledge into our E-commerce platform via business building strategies and initiatives.
Duties
• Incumbent will develop and implement an annual corporate business plan while working cross functionally to assure execution of the plans
•Manage, devise and measure the account’s promotional events and activities calendars
•Identify new and emerging opportunities, trends, insights, as well as possible threats
•Implement technical Ecommerce marketing strategies and analyze trends and results to achieve sales and profitability goals.
•Prioritizes customer mix opportunities based on profitability and the ability to drive conversion
•Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
•Actively participates and initiates discussions/projects with our senior management team and peers to create more effective strategies, resulting in increased profitable sales
•Meet and/or exceed goals for online sales, distribution, pricing, and promotional volume
•Manage daily e-commerce activities; including inventory management, pricing and promotions
  • Ensure optimal logistics setup for efficient and cost-effective e-commerce fulfillment
•Solid business acumen and the ability to effectively assess prospects business needs, pain points and aspirations, then match them with Company’s solutions and services
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred
•Should have 5+ years of experience in e-commerce marketing with a background in Digital Sales, Sales, Marketing, or Business
• Previous experience in CPG Sales, Category Management or Marketing is helpful
•Exposure across all Ecommerce business functions, including, but not limited to Marketing, Search, Content, and Financials
•Amazon account experience is helpful
•Outstanding competencies in joint business planning, item development, supply chain management, trade deployment, negotiation, and consumer marketing through our dot.com partners
•Project management experience with high attention to detail is required
•Demonstrated track record in leading complex businesses and improving customer profitability
•Strong computer skills including proficiency with Ecommerce, interfaces and experience with Javascript, Python, PHP and or HTML
•Demonstrated ability to penetrate the account at all levels adding value to the process with a track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships
• Must be able to work with senior leaders on strategic direction and with team members on tactical details
• Working knowledge of syndicated data
•Deep financial acumen and P&L management competencies rooted in analytics
•Proven analytical, data-based decision maker based on e commerce and consumer engagement metrics
•Adept in selling to consumption and providing accurate forecasts
•Excellent negotiation and strong sales presentation and development skills
•Strong written communication and verbal communication skills
•Ability to identify and anticipate market trends to keep business plans up-to-date
• Working knowledge of Consumer Insights and application potential
• Willingness to travel to meet customer needs
•A team player and ability to build effective relationships with different departments
•Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
•Critical thinking skills to develop creative solutions for business issues or opportunities
